The majority of my last week was spent away from La Pocatiere. On Thursday, I got a lift to Riviere du Loup with the same teacher as before, and I went out with the language assistants as on Friday it was one of their birthdays the next day. We went to a place called La P'tite Grenouille and it was surprisingly busy! (afterwards we naturally bought poutine...)
On Friday, I met two new Canadian monitors who came with me and the RDL Canadian monitor to Tadoussac. We had to get two ferries to get there!
It was a really beautiful place, especially now that the trees have autumn colours. We did hiking around the sand dunes and around a lake. We also went out to eat a few times. One of the places was a buffet of Quebecois food with a random selection of dishes and la tarte au vinaigre (like a lemon tart but with vinegar) for dessert which was a very odd combination of flavours...
